My name is Andrea Cardenas and I am a portrait photographer in Highlands Ranch, CO. I was born and raised in El Salvador and moved to Highlands Ranch when I was ten years old. Coming from a third world country really made me appreciate the beauty and opportunities of this country. The only family members that I have in this country are my parents and my sister; they mean everything to me.
When I realized how much joy photographs of loved ones bring to people, I couldn’t see myself doing any other kind of photography. I believe photographs can be taken for granted; however, I know that a photograph of someone you love can be something you really appreciate down the road. When I’m taking someone’s photograph, I like to show a piece of who they are. I’ve always been fascinated by how people evolve as their life goes on and I want my photographs to remind people of a point in time of their life.
